Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week
Today marks the start of National Apprenticeship Week and we have been catching up with some apprentices to see if they would share their thoughts on apprenticeships and their own experiences.
Amberley is a Finance Assistant apprentice with The Community Housing Group.
Amberley's thoughts on apprenticeship
"Having been to university myself I believe the benefits of becoming an apprentice over studying at university is that you gain both qualifications and experience as well as making connections in your chosen job field. You can also earn whilst you learn rather than building up student debts.
An apprenticeship is a great way to gain access to a job sector and boost your confidence. I have received great support in working towards my qualifications and have been given the opportunity to progress my studies whilst being paid. My apprentiship has allowed me to progress my career enormously. I have gained experience within my field, made friends and contacts and gained qualifications that will allow me to boost my future career prospects. I have gained a lot of confidence in myself and my position in the world of work."
